The first meeting of Azerbaijan-India intergovernmental commission will be held in Delhi by the yearend, Indian ambassador to Azerbaijan Debnat Show said at the news conference.
“The meeting was postponed several times and we hope it will be held by the yearend. The members of the commission will discuss cooperation in trade, technology, science, opportunities to increase exchange of trade,” he said.
The diplomat underlined the importance of adopting documents on promotion of investments and exemption of double taxation and said work on the documents continues.
Debnat Show said Indian businessmen want to do business in non-oil sector, agriculture and tea-growing of Azerbaijan.
He also said conditions should be created for Azerbaijani businessmen in India.
“As far as I know, an Azerbaijani businessman is producing drink made of yogurt in India and his business is successful,” he said.
