Azerbaijan’s parliament will discuss draft Town-planning Code at the autumn session, parliament’s economic policy committee chair Ziyad Samadzade said.
He said the Town-planning Code will regulate planning territories between towns and settlements, conducting town-planning by zones and designing construction facilities from architectural point of view.
Samadzade said the project is being developed jointly with the specialists.
“In present-day world, adopting Town-planning Code contributes to a long-term development of the country. Currently, 50 percent of Azerbaijan population live in urban areas,” he said.
In addition, in recent years the construction of settlements did not always take into account principles of urban development, Samadzade said.
