Priority issues of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Latvia will be discussed during the official visit by Latvian President Valdis Zatlers to Baku in mid-July, Azerbaijani Ambassador to this Baltic country Tofig Zulfugarov told Trend News on Wednesday.
During the visit, Latvian President is expected to sign a range of documents on bilateral cooperation in different spheres, Zulfugarov said over phone from Riga.
A group of Latvian businessmen will accompany Zatlers to Azerbaijan. Latvian businessmen will discuss the ways to expand cooperation with Azerbaijani colleagues.
The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Latvia hits $7.86 million in 2008, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee said.
