Azerbaijan will issue another $130,000,000 to Georgia in 2009 for construction of the Marabda-Kartsakhi railway section and reconstruction of the railroad to Akhalkalaki, as reported at the fifth session of the Coordination Council on the project of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railroad.
On the whole, for its implementation Georgia will get $200,000,000 as a lax credit. There is a plan to complete the highway construction in 2011. It will communicate Asia to Europe, ensuring direct railway transportations from China to the Atlantic Ocean.
