11 overpasses will be built in Azerbaijan in the coming three years, said a source from the Transport Ministry of Azerbaijan.
"In line with a plan of measures for 2008-2010, prepared by the MInistry and presented to the government of Azerbaijan, 11 overpasses, 10 passages and a 13 storied car park will be built in Baku", said the source.
It should be noted that the Transport Ministry accounts for 22,134 km highways. Of them 1,684 km are international highways, 2,660- roads of republican concern, 13,000- of local concern, 1,500 in Baku and 3,300 are roads, prospects and streets of the regions, located in the regions and in other cities.
The total number of bridges is 1,201.
5 overpasses (bridges), a tunnel and 7 pedestrian crossings (5 underground and 2 land crossings) have recently been launched in Baku.
