Azerbaijanis forced to interrupt education in Syria

Roughly 60 Azerbaijani students studying in Syria were forced to leave the country a few days ago due to the events occurring there, Caucasian Muslims Office Deputy Chairman Haji Sabir Hasanli said on Thursday.

The Azerbaijani students were recommended to return home due to unfriendly attitude towards the Turkic people in Syria, he said.

"Most Azerbaijani students studied in Damascus," Hasanli said.
