Deputy U.S. ambassador visits Azerbaijani village in Georgia

Kent Longsdon, the deputy U.S. ambassador to Georgia, visited the village of Mughanli in the Gardabani region, which is mostly inhabited by Azerbaijanis, the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi told Trend.

According to the report, Longsdon got acquainted with the activity of a representative of the U.S volunteer corps at a local school. Andrew Jenkins recently opened an English class for local children with the help of the embassy. The class is equipped with the necessary equipment.

Longsdon expressed satisfaction with the work of the representatives of the Peace Corps. He noted that they are making a significant contribution to the training program for children in Georgia. "Our volunteers show true professionalism and participate in the program to teach English throughout Georgia," he stressed.
