Ukrainian MP of Azerbaijani descent becomes a mayor

Ukraine's MP of Azerbaijani descent, President of FC Vorskla (Poltava) Oleg Babayev has been elected as mayor of the Ukrainian city of Kremenchug at the 31 October local elections. The incumbent mayor Nikolay Glukhov congratulated Babayev and wished him every success during his tenure.
