Azerbaijani wrestlers physically and psychologically are in excellent shape and ready for the European Championships, Azerbaijani Wrestling Federation's (AWF) President Fazil Mammadov said.
Apr.13-18, Baku will host the European championship in Greco-Roman, freestyle and women's wrestling.
In the run up to the championship, the Azerbaijani athletes have passed training camps and other preparatory activities, Mammadov said.
"Our athletes' achievements give ground to say that the wrestlers will perform with dignity at the European Championship," he added.
The European Championship will have 21 sets of awards.
Freestyle competition will be held Apr.13-14. Women will perform Apr.15-16 and wrestlers of the classical style will complete the tournament Apr.17-18.
