Azerbaijani chess player to celebrate New Year in Italy

Azerbaijani grand master Eltaj Safarli will celebrate the New Year in Reggio Emilia (Italy), where a major international tournament started on Dec. 28.
The tournament involves top player of Hungarian team Zoltan Almasi, Georgian Baadur Jobava, a former World Cup winner with a right to play in the championship cycle Gata Kamsky, Viktor Bologan of Moldova, Konstantin Landa of Russia and also Italian prodigy Fabiano Caruana, Michele Godeny, Sabino Brunello and Daniele Vokaturo.
