Brazil's WC victory forecast rising

The outcome of the draw means that the odds of Spain defending its title as world champion are getting worse whilst Brazil's are improving, according to bookies such as Betfair, which gives them a 35% chance of meeting each other in the first knockout round - the round of 16.

The possibility of having to face Brazil has reduced Spain's odds of defending its title from 14.3% to 12.5%. On MARCA Apuestas, Brazil is the big favourite with odds of 3 to 1.
