Azerbaijan will ban Christmas fireworks

The Azerbaijani Interior Ministry ordered on the prevention of illicit trafficking of pyrotechnic products and flammable substances on the eve of the New Year's holidays. The guidence was sent to all police authorities of the republic, including the district police department of Baku, Ministry’s Deputy Spokesman Ehsan Zahidov said.
 
He said the excessive noise during the New Year holidays due to the use of firecrackers and other pyrotechnic products leads to a just resentment of the population. "The police should take urgent measures to prevent the use of pyrotechnic products," Zahidov said.
