Azerbaijan neutralizes drug traffickers

The Azerbaijani National Security Ministry detained criminal gangs composed of citizens of Azerbaijan, Iran and Georgia, engaged in smuggling and drug trafficking. The ministry’s officials revealed that Azerbaijani citizens Ramiz Bagirov, Imran Guliyev, Iranian citizen Nasirzade Noshahr and others were engaged in trafficking of  heroin from Iran to Azerbaijan.

Moreover, the law-enforcement officers arrested  Georgian citizens Anver Samadzade, Seymur Ilyazov, Ramin Kalayev , Mikail Sharifov, Sair Kerimov, Iranian citizen Mohammad Mostafai and Azerbaijani citizens Arif Abbasov and Mammad Abbasov. As it turned out, these Indic duals transported large quantity of heroin from Iran to Azerbaijan.

Criminal case under Articles 206.3.2 (smuggling a group of persons by prior agreement), 234.4.1 (illegal manufacturing, acquisition, storage, transport, transfer or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or precursors of a group of persons by prior conspiracy or an organized group) and 234.4.3 (illegal manufacturing, acquisition, storage, transport, transfer or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or precursors in large amount) of the Criminal Code was launched into the facts. The instigations are underway.
