
About 20 million manat is planned to be allocated from the state budget in the future to implement the state program on youth development in Azerbaijan, from this year until 2015, Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Intigam Babayev told media today.
"At present, the total amount of funds to be allocated for the programme has hit 80 million manat,' he said. "These will be assigned from 2012, following the state programme approval this year"
The experience in the field of entrepreneurship among young people must be studied with the help of these funds, but there is a proviso they are not intended to finance business activities, he said. At present, 31.2 per cent of the total population, or about 2.8 million people are young people in Azerbaijan.
