What can cause you to lose your driver's license?

Drivers can be withdrawn of driving licenses only in accordance with the Azerbaijani Law on ‘Traffic Movement’, Baku State Traffic Police Department spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Vagif Asadov said.  He stated about this while answering the question whetever a driver can loose the license because of wrong parking.

He noted that it is difficult to say anything about it, as the fact itself should be studied. “If a driver lost the driver license because of wrong parking, he/she can appeal to the department, as the structure immediately studies complaints of drivers,” he said.

As for the cases, in which drivers can lose the license, Assadov said that if driver refused to pay fines for violating the traffic rules for more than three months , then he/she can be withdrawn of the license.
 
"In addition, a driver can be banned from driving for a specified period due to the accumulation of a certain number of demerit points, that is 10 points or more during the year, as well as due to improper divining, and causing minor bodily injury or physical harm to another person a driver can be banned from driving for a period of one year, etc,” he said.
