Who seeks right of abode in Azerbaijan?

The Azerbaijani State Migration Service received 48, 250 appeals in January-November 2011 in connection with obtaining appropriate permits to reside in the country,  State Migration Service’s department director  Sabuhi Mammadov said.

He said roughly 38 percent of those who appealed to get the right of abode are citizens of Turkey, 11 percent- Russia, 10 percent - of Georgia, 8 percent - the UK, 5 percent - Iran, 3 percent - China, 2 percent - U.S., 2 percent - India, 2 percent – Ukraine and 1 percent - from Pakistan.
