Carbon compounds in air decreased twice for 20 years in Azerbaijan

The volume of carbon compounds released into the air for the last 20 years has decreased twice, Minister of Environment and Natural Resources Huseyn Bagirov said at the international conference "20 Years of Independence: achievements and challenges to the progressive, equitable and dynamic nation-building" in Baku yesterday. He said that the figure was 60-70 million tons 20 years ago. It decreased to 34 million tons in 2010.
