Azerbaijani police officer arrested for bribery

 A policeman was arrested in Baku for bribery. Azerbaijani citizen Ramin Mammadov called to ‘102 hotline’ service of the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry on Nov.28 and reported that Khazar district Police Department’s officer,  Police Major Togrul Huseynov demanded from him a 1,000 manats for each floor of the building that Mammadov constructs, Spokesman for Prosecutor General’s Office  Eldar Sultanov said.  

 As a result of operational measures undertaken by the task force, Togrul Huseynov was arrested in his office while receiving a bribe of 1,000 manat on Dec.3. A criminal case under Article. 311.2 (obtaining an official bribe for illegal actions (inaction) of the Criminal Code was launched into the fact, an investigation is underway.
