
Azerbaijan has registered 70 human trafficking cases this year.Four criminal groups and 18 criminals involved in trafficking have been neutralized, Anti-Trafficking Department Chief Javad Shikhaliyev said at the fourth regional meeting today.
Shikhaliyev said 27 victims have been registered in the country since early 2011. Three criminals who were wanted on charges of trafficking were detained through Interpol. "Seventeen more criminals are wanted internationally," he said. "One recently died in Pakistan. Two crimes related to illegal labor exploitation have been registered this year."
