Baku to have new multi-storey school soon – PHOTOS

Work is underway on expanding the territory of one of the secondary schools of Baku. The Mikayil Mushfig secondary school located in Yasamal district was earlier closed for the repair work.

Following the repair work, the number of floors in the school increased and the appearance has undergone significant changes. This school will be different from all other schools, as it will be the most multi-storey school in Baku with six floors.

School Director Vagif Huseynov said another school building will be built in the school yard, as the school has a very large number of students.
 
"Although the school is designed for 1,236 seats, the real figure is about 1,700 students. Therefore, it was decided to increase the capacity of the education institution. Following the repair and completion of the new building, the capacity of school will increase to 1,800." He said the repair work is scheduled for completion in the new academic year.
