President Ilham Aliyev visits Gabala region - UPDATE - PHOTOS

President of Azerbaijan yesterday inspected the construction works in Gabala Horse Racing Complex. The Head of State viewed the photo stand reflecting the construction works.

President Ilham Aliyev was told that the construction site of the Complex with total area of 40 hectares is built under the order of Azerbaijan Equestrian Federation. The construction works started here in July this year. The facility will feature 2000-seat two auditoriums, park, cafe, restaurant, parking lots. President Ilham Aliyev gave his instructions and recommendations.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev yesterday inaugurated the “Qafqaz Sport Hotel” in Gabala. The Head of State cut a ribbon symbolizing the opening of the facility, and then toured it.The President was informed that the construction of the 5-star hotel started in March, 2010.

The hotel includes the 7-storied building and 21 cottages.

The facility has restaurant, bar, conference halls, pool, sports center, SPA and fitness center, sauna, Turkish bath, kids entertainment, hairdressing and beauty salons. The President praised the work done here and wished successes to the hotel staffers.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on Friday completed his visit to the north-west region of Azerbaijan. The Head of State left for Baku from Gabala International airport.

President Ilham Aliyev returned to Baku on Friday.

President Ilham Aliyev on Friday inspected construction works at the stadium and training camp of “Gabala” football club. The Head of State viewed the layout of the complex and photo exposition reflecting the construction works here.

Minister of youth and sports of Azerbaijan told the President that the construction of an administrative building of “Gabala” Football Academy, a training camp and a 15.000-seat stadium is underway. The whole complex will occupy the area of 7 hectares. The additional 6 stadiums will be also built here.

The President was informed that “Gabala” Football Academy which will start functioning in a year and a half will have natural and artificial pitches, a cafeteria, a recreation room, ect. Currently 200 children are studying at the Academy.

President Ilham Aliyev gave relevant instructions to the construction management staff.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today participated in the inauguration ceremony of 36-apartment residential building for Karabakh war disabled people and martyr families in country`s Gabala region. The Head of State toured the building.

Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population Fuzuli Alakbarov told the President all conditions were created in the apartments.

President Ilham Aliyev met here with Karabakh war disabled people and martyr families and handed over them certificates for apartments and car keys.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev inaugurated Thursday the lemonade and water producing factory in Gabala. President Ilham Aliyev pressed a button to launch the facility. The Head of State was informed that the construction started March, 2011.

The annual capacity of the plant is 50 mln liters, and 6,000 liters per hour. The facility employs 60 people. President Ilham Aliyev viewed production process.

The Head of State gave relevant instructions and recommendations.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev inaugurated Gabala International Airport on Thursday. President Ilham Aliyev made a speech at the event. Gabala governor Sabuhi Abdullayev thanked President Ilham Aliyev on the care and attention for development of the region.

The Head of State cut the ribbon symbolizing an official opening of the airport. President of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) Jahangir Asgarov informed President Ilham Aliyev on Gabala International Airport.

The Head of State viewed stands reflecting the layout of Gabala International Airport and reconstruction of Gabala-Agdash road. President Ilham Aliyev congratulated the staff on the opening of the international airport and wished them success.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev inaugurated the Gabala Olympic Sports Complex, on Thursday. The Head of State cut the ribbon symbolizing an official opening of the complex.

Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov said the construction of the complex started in 2007. The total area of the sports complex is 9,000 square meters. The two-storied complex has sports hall, swimming pool, gym, canteen and cottages, billiard and tennis courts and a mini-cafe.

After watching the training process in the volleyball court, President Ilham Aliyev familiarized himself with sport facilities draft project. A photo gallery reflecting a care of national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev for physical training and development of sports, as well as victory of Azerbaijani athletes in numerous international tournaments was created on the ground floor of the complex.

The Head of State familiarized himself with sports hall, where international tournaments on football, basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, boxing and wrestling will be held. The hall has 720-seats. President Ilham Aliyev viewed the swimming pool. The Head of State saw the sport facilities, stadium for 1540 seats as well as mini football, tennis, basketball and volleyball playgrounds.

President Ilham Aliyev saw training process of football players. President of Azerbaijan and young football players posed for photographs. The Head of State was informed that the improvement work was carried out at the area of 10,000 square meters. The sport facilities have boiling-house, substation transformer, water storehouse, artesian wells and fire extinguishers.

The Head of State praised the conditions created here and gave relevant instructions.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev opened Thursday the secondary school No 2 in Nij town of Gabala region. Head of State cut a ribbon symbolizing the opening of the school. The President was informed the new building of the school was constructed at the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

The old building of the school was built in 1930. Construction of the new building of the facility started in April, 2011. The 4-storied facility covers 1 hectares. A photo gallery reflecting care and attention of national leader Heydar Aliyev, President Ilham Aliyev and President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, first lady Mehriban Aliyeva to development of education in the country was installed in the foyer of the school.

The facility has 20 classrooms, two labs, sports hall, assembly hall, library and football pitch.
The Azerbaijani leader congratulated and wished successes to the school staff on the opening of the facility.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has kicked off his Gabala trip by visiting a monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev and laying flowers at the monument. The Head of State was informed about the landscaping and rebuilding work around the monument.
