Azerbaijan, Argentina discuss scientific and educational cooperation

Misir Mardanov, Azerbaijan`s Minister of Education yesterday met visiting Lino Baranao, Argentine Minister of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation. Mardanov said Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev attaches great importance to development of scientific and educational fields.

The Minister underlined Azerbaijan was dynamically developing.

The Education Minister stressed the necessity of establishment of educational relations between Azerbaijan and Argentina. Mardanov briefed the Argentine Minister on the Azerbaijani youth study abroad program in 2007-2015.

He also added more than 7,000 foreign students were studying in the country`s universities.

Lino Baranao spoke of projects implemented in Argentina for developing science and education.

The Argentine Minister highlighted the activity of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation. He also stressed the importance of cooperation in the fields of science and education.

Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Argentina Mammad Ahmadzade was present at the meeting.
