Archeological Fund to be established in Azerbaijan

“It is necessary to establish an archeological fund in Azerbaijan.

Proposal has already been made, the regulations and other documents of the fund have been prepared,” President of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Mahmud Karimov said.

Mahmud Karimov said establishment of the archeological fund had been agreed with the relevant bodies.

“The importance of the fund is understood well. I am sure that a place will be allotted for this rich fund, because this is indeed important. Very valuable archeological exhibits dating back to various historical stages have been found in Azerbaijan. A fund is needed to systematize them and keep them in proper conditions,” he said.
