Gulu Novruzov: We will discuss the issue on simplifying the mechanism of financing of the students studying abroad

The issue on simplifying the mechanism of financing of the students studying abroad within the framework of the “State Program on education of the Azerbaijani youth abroad in 2007-2015” will be discussed. Deputy Education Minister Gulu Novruzov said that the ministry wants the problem to be solved by the next academic year.

“It does not only depend on the Education Ministry, because the financing is realized by the State Oil Fund. We have talked, we will discuss the simplification of this mechanism. We hope we will achieve it,” he said.

Gulu Novruzov said the delay of the delivery of the allocated funds to the students is connected with the long financing procedure.

“There are documents, which the students must send after they arrive in the country they study. It takes much time to send the document, prepare the order with regard to the financing after we receive the relevant documents, transfer the money to the Education Ministry. Therefore, in the first month the student uses the budget of the parents. Certainly, we return this money. But the procedure causes such delay,” he said.
