Funds allocated for education of Azerbaijani youth abroad exceeds AZN 15 mln

Each year AZN 10-15 mln funds are allocated for education of Azerbaijani youth abroad, Education Minister Misir Mardanov said.

To him, within the framework of the “State programme on education abroad”, AZN 15 mln was allocated this year: “Some part of this money was spent. Other part will be spent by the year-end”.

The minister noted that at present, more than 800 Azerbaijani students educated abroad: “Their number increases day-by-day. Only this year, this number was near 500. We have sent 66 students abroad during the time when we started the implementation of the program”.
