Documents related to Azerbaijan kept in Vatican’s secret archive to be brought to the country

The documents related to Azerbaijan in Vatican’s secret archive will be brought to the country, chief of department of translation and information of the Institute of Manuscripts of the ANAS Fuad Alekberov said.

According to him, there are 600 valuable documents related to the various periods of Azerbaijan’s history in Vatican’s secret archive: “The negotiations are held for bringing of these documents to Azerbaijan. Some of them were ordered and will be brought to Azerbaijan”.

Alekberov said that CD versions of 40 of 60 manuscripts related to Azerbaijan kept in Vatican Apostolic library were brought o the country and delivered to the Institute of Manuscripts: “The negotiations are held for bringing of the other documents to the country. Some of these works will be restored. Then the Azerbaijani scientists will start researching these works”.
