Turkish government: Azerbaijan heads list of countries which sent aids most of all in connection with Van quake

The Department for Natural Disasters and Emergency Situations under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkey publicized the list of countries which sent aids most of all in connection with Van quake.

The Turkish press reported that Azerbaijan takes the first place in the list. According to the official information, Azerbaijan sent rescue team consisting of 140 persons, 1250 tents, 700 bed linens, 40 generators, 5000 blankets, 40 kitchen equipments and 2 field kitchens. France takes the second place in the list, Russia is the third. Israel is also in the list.

According tot eh Turkish press, Azerbaijan is the first country which rendered assistance to Turkey in connection with Van quake.

7.2-magnitude earthquake occurred in Van province of Turkey on October 23. Death toll reached 601, the number of the injured reached 4152. 188 were pulled alive from the rubbles.
