Azerbaijan switches to winter time soon

Azerbaijan will revert to the standard time at 05.00 am October 30, 2011, switching one hour back. This will be the start of the official winter time in the country.

By a 1997-year decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan, the country reverts to the standard time on the last Sunday in October.

Winter time will last until the last Sunday of March, when clocks are clocks are turned forward one hour, signaling the start of summer daylight saving time.

The State Agency for Standardization Metrology and Patents is controlling the fulfillment of the decision.
