ANAMA finished mechanical demining operations on Turkish-Syrian borders

Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Actions (ANAMA) finished mechanical demining operations in the territory of Turkish-Syrian border crossing terminal in accordance with an agreement reached with the Turkey’s Nokta Company, ANAMA sources said.

The agency is conducting outside quality inspections in the territory now.

More than 70 anti-personnel and anti-tank mines have been found and deactivated in the 160 thousand square meters territory in Karkamish area of Turkey’s Gaziantep city since the operations began in August, 2011.

According to the agreement, ANAMA’s Bozena -4 small-wheeled mechanical vehicle was involved in demining operations.
