Rector: New students' hostel of State University of Baku to be completed by 2019

A new students’ hostel of the State University of Baku (SUB) is likely to be built by 2019, MP Abel Magerramov, SUB Rector, told reporters.

The new hostel and technological park will be built at the sidelines of undertakings devoted to the 100th jubilee of the University, according to him.

"The SUB currently enters the list of 2,000 best universities of the world. The hostel covers 30 percent of the university’s rating assessment and thereby the SUB entered the rating list due to its education level only", Magerramov said.

If the problem of hostel is solved the university will receive the opportunity to enter the list of world’s 300 best higher schools, the Rector said.

The State University of Baku was established in 1919.
