Azerbaijani government approves list of institutions that will hold doctorate exams

The Azerbaijani government has approved a list of universities and research organizations, which will hold exams to the doctorate, the Cabinet of Ministers reported.

Proposals of the Cabinet of Ministers and Azerbaijani Education Ministry have been taken into the account while approving the list. Under the new rules of admission to doctoral studies approved by the Cabinet of Ministers, requirements for entrance exams and selection of supervisors, as well as requirements for the institutions that will hold the doctorate exams, strengthened.

Admission to this level of education was not carried out following the adoption the new law "On Education" in Azerbaijan in 2009.
