The Azerbaijani Students' Union (ASU) became observant member of the European Students' Union (ESU), the ASU reported.

Azerbaijan became the 39th member country of the ESA at the Union's 58th meeting in Madrid. The ESU, whose central office is located in Brussels, founded in 1982. The Union brings together more than 11 million students and collaborates with the Council of Europe, European Commission, UNICEF and OSCE.
Representatives of student organizations of Serbia, Estonia, Netherlands and Poland will visit Baku in September-October in connection with Azerbaijan's accession to the Union. Earlier, the ASU entered the membership of the World Federation of Students IAESTE.
