Residents of some villages in Azerbaijan's Saatli and Imishli region evacuated due to flood threat

The flood waters caused by high water levels in the Lake Sarysu located between Imishli and Sabirabad regions of Azerbaijan are redirected to the Mil-Mugan collector.

Hundreds of military men are working at the disaster area together with the local residents to reinforce dams. Despite dam reinforcement works, four villages in Saatli region and two villages in Imishli region face flood threat. Population of the villages is evacuating homes in large numbers and takes away the cattle.
