According to Mehdi Huseynguliyev, the US Embassy department of public relations, US Embassy hosted a meeting between the Embassy staff, the representatives of Liberty and VOA radio stations and the chief of NTRC Nushiravan Meherremli.

Huseynguliyev told the APA that they had negotiations about the broadcasting of Liberty and VOA radios. "The Embassy hopes that the problem will be settled in a few days," he said.

Sources in NTRC told the APA that the radio stations were offered 24-hour broadcasting during the meeting. If the opposite side agrees to it, then they will be provided by license for 24-hour broadcasting.
