Justice Ministry officials meet with Gobustan protesting lifers

Deputy chief of Justice Ministry Main Office of Execution of Court Decisions Natig Talibov and Colonel Ilham Jafarov on Friday met with seven life-term prisoners, who started hunger strike in Gobustan jail.

The lifers' families told the APA the meeting lasted for several hours.

The officials first asked and then demanded the prisoners to stop hunger strike. However, they refused to stop demanding Ombudsman and human rights defenders arrive at the prison. The lifers also said they would not stop hunger strike until their demands are satisfied. Natig Talibov promised to meet their demands.
