Sheikulislam Haji Allahshukur Pashazadeh meets with Catholicos-Patriarch of all Georgia

As APA reports greeting the visitors Ilya II touched on recent problems.

"I greet you on behalf of Georgian Church and Georgian people and assure you that the current problems will be removed by God's will. The ongoing processes in the world cause some problems which require joint efforts to preserve our customs and traditions and natural values. The main thing is political leaders often consulting with religious figures. Both Georgia and Azerbaijan have similar problems: both of them were subjected to territorial aggression. I am sure we together will solve these problems and preserve our historical national values for future generations. I wish welfare to the friendly Azerbaijani people," Ilya II said.

Sheikulislam thanked to Ilya II for cordial reception.

"I contacted Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev as soon as I received your invitation. The President asked me to convey his best wishes to you and the Georgian people. I am impressed every time when I meet you. I need your advice as the elder of the Caucasus. You have made a lot of contributions to making our peoples and morals closer as well as preserving of friendly neighborhood relations. I am sure if political figures follow advice given by such religious leaders as you, the mankind would escape such troubles," Pashazadeh said.

The two religious leaders met in private after that.
