Justice Ministry refutes hunger strike of prisoners

Families of the prisoners informs that yesterday Court Awards Execution Main Office (CAEMO) chief Nazim Alakbarov visiting the prison met with the prisoners holding hunger strike.

Life sentence prisoner Georgian citizen Georgi Giladze has told Alakbarov about the reason of the hunger strike. The prisoner stated that their demand is substitution of their life time imprisonment with 15 years of imprisonment.

"At present the number of prisoners joining the hunger strike is about 50. But the office chief and detention place chief give wrong information to the media."

CAEMO department Chief Rafig Ramazanov has refuted hunger strike in his statement made to APA.
