Kuwaiti delegation visits Culture Ministry

The delegation of the participants of the Days of Kuwaiti Culture in Azerbaijan, led by the Secretary General of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature of Kuwait, Ali Hussein al-Yuh, met with the Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan Adalat Veliyev.

Briefing the guests on National Development Program, which provides for the development of theaters cinemas museums, libraries separately, Veliyev said that special attention is paid to the jubilees of famous cultural personalities. So, this year Azerbaijan celebrates several anniversaries – the 870th jubilee of Nizami Ganjavi, the 200th anniversary of the founder of Azerbaijani drama Mirza Fatali Akhundzadeh and the 90th Anniversary of the famous Azerbaijani composer Fikrat Amirov.

At the same time agreement aimed at boosting cultural relations between Azerbaijan and Kuwait is currently under development, according to Veliyev.

The Days of Kuwaiti Culture kicked off in Baku on November 27 and will run until December 2. The programme includes a photo exhibition at the Azerbaijan State Academy of Art, presentation of the book titled "Take me to the sun" by Sheikh Suad Mohammed Al-Sabah, roundtables and other events.
