
According to the National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources (MENR), currently, water richness holds 75-105% of decade norm in the rivers of Major Caucasus, 65-105% in the rivers of Minor Caucasus, 55-85% in the rivers of Lankaran-Astara zone, while 20-25% in the rivers of Nakhichevan AR.
Water consumption holds 477 m3/sec, i.e. 75% of decade norm (in 2011, 95%, being 572 m3/sec) in Giragkasaman settlement of Kura river, while 204 m3/sec, i.e. 104% of decade norm (in 2011, 113%, being 222 m3/sec) in Ayrichay settlement of Ganikh river.
At present, water level holds 375 cm (On June 1, 2011, 652 cm) in Surra settlement, 245 cm (On June 1, 2011, 577 cm) in Shirvan region, 203 cm (On June 1, 2011, 550 cm) in Salyan region, 223 cm (On June 1, 2011, 353 cm) in Banka settlement, while 98 cm (On June 1, 2011, 385 cm) in Novruzlu settlement of Aras river.
