Iran, Turkey sign consular cooperation agreement

ranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs Hassan Qashghavi and his Turkish counterpart Naji Kuru signed a consular cooperation agreement here on Monday, IRNA repored. The agreement comprising 16 articles stipulates mutual cooperation in different consular and related affairs.

"Removing problems related to immigration and residency, providing security for nationals of both countries, police cooperation, academic cooperation and preparing grounds for implementation of consular cooperation agreement within the framework of Economic Cooperation Organization by their private secorts are among the articles of the agreement. Kuru and his entourage have already met Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi and Justice Minister Bakhtiari.
