Georgia opens embassy in Australia

The Georgian embassy was opened in Australia.

A delegation of the Georgian Foreign Ministry headed by Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze attended the opening ceremony, the Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.

Vashadze said that the opening of the embassy of great importance to develop bilateral relations.

Australian Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd stressed that Vashadze is the guest of honor.

"We talked about establishing business relations between the two countries and the political course chosen by Georgia," he said.
