PKK militants killed one soldier and wounded another in the southeastern province of Hakkari on Sunday.

"Terrorists opened fire on security forces in Daglica hamlet of Hakkari's Yuksekova town, killing one soldier and injuring another", it said.

Security forces launched a wide-scale operation in the region.
