Centre of Japanese Language and Culture to open at Tbilisi State University

Centre of the Japanese language and culture will open at Tbilisi State University today.
The Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University said the official ceremony will be opened by Mr. Masayoshi Kamohara, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Georgia.

The presentation will be attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education, as well as legislative and executive governments.

The centre will be given Japanese language teaching equipment on the event within the framework of cultural grant of the government of Japan.

The State University has become beneficiary of cultural grant project of Japan by support of governments of Japan and Georgia and active cooperation between Tbilisi State University and the Embassy of Japan in Georgia.

As agreement was signed between Tbilisi State University and Japan International cooperation system on 12 Feb., 2009.

According to the agreement signed between the State University and the corporation Mitsubishi, technical equipment and educational materials will be given to the Japanese language and culture centre.
