Landslide inflicts damage to western Georgia

Landslide in the village of Orbeli, Tsageri district, and the Alpana-Tsageri central road of Georgia has been blocked up.
The flood and the landslide has destructed sixty-meter sector of the road on the 12-th kilometre of the road.

The villages have de tours, but only off-road vehicles can drive on it.

The village of Orbeli is still facing danger of landslide. At least five families need to be evacuated.

The disaster has also inflicted damage in another village of the remote region.

Fourteen houses have been flooded and 28 others are in danger. The injured families have lost cattle and poultry.

The team of geologists sent by the Environmental Ministry will explore the area.
