08 February 2010 [16:36] - TODAY.AZ
Turkish industrial production increased in December from a month earlier, the third consecutive month that it has risen.
Seasonally adjusted output rose 0.7 percent from November, the government statistics agency in Ankara said on its Web site today. In November production had increased 0.2 percent from the previous month.

The central bank in December halted 13 months of cuts to its benchmark interest rate and said on Jan. 26 it sees a “moderate pace of recovery.”

Output was up 8.3 percent from December 2008 when adjusted for the number of working days, the statistics agency said. Without adjustment, the annual figure gained 25.2 percent, it said.
