Pakistan’s Parliament speaker pays tribute to late Imam

Visiting Speaker of the Pakistani National Assembly Fahmida Mirza paid tribute Monday to the Father of the Islamic Revolution late Imam Khomeini.
Attending the late Imam’s Mausoleum in southern Tehran, the Pakistani speaker along with her accompanying delegation laid a wreath at the tomb of the founder of the Islamic Revolution.

Mirza arrived here last Wednesday on a six-day official visit which is taking place at the invitation of her Iranian counterpart Ali Larijani.

During her stay here, the Pakistani official has so far conferred with senior Iranian officials including President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki and Majlis (Parliament) Speaker Larijani.
