Turkish, Chinese FMs meet in Istanbul

Foreign affairs ministers of Turkey and China met in Istanbul on Wednesday.
Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Davutoglu and his Chinese counterpart Yang Jiechi met at Istanbul's Ciragan Palace.

The gathering was closed to press.

The two ministers are expected to hold a joint press conference following their meeting.

Jiechi, who arrived in Turkey to attend the "Istanbul Forum for Friendship and Cooperation in Heart of Asia", was received by Turkish President Abdullah Gul in Istanbul on Tuesday.

The Chinese minister is also scheduled to hold talks with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara on Wednesday.
