Georgian parliament approves ambassador to Belarus

On Dec. 18, the Parliament approved George Chkheidze the ambassador of Georgia to Belarus.
A journalist by profession, George Chkheidze has diplomatic experience, working in several countries of the CIS, has worked at the Georgian Embassy in Moscow, was extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, and until recently worked as director of the Foreign Ministry's department for CIS.

George Chkheidze was conferred diplomatic rank of ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary.
