Several Russian regions came under drone attacks overnight from August 7 to 8, leaving at least seven people injured and causing damage to industrial facilities and residential properties.
AzerNEWS reports that a fire broke out at the Ilsky oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar region after debris from a downed drone fell on the facility. Five people were reportedly injured, according to preliminary information.
In the Samara region, drones targeted an industrial facility. Emergency and security services are currently working at the site and dealing with the aftermath of the attack. Information on casualties and damage is still being clarified.
Russian defense forces also reported intercepting a drone attack in the Republic of Adygea. In the village of Starobzhegokay in Takhtamukaysky District, debris from a neutralized drone damaged an outbuilding and the windows of a private home. No injuries were reported.
In the city of Zadonsk in the Lipetsk region, two people were injured after a drone crashed. The injured were taken to hospital. Four private houses, a vehicle and a power transmission line were damaged in the incident.
Another drone crashed onto a residential apartment building under construction in the city of Lipetsk. No injuries were reported in that incident, according to preliminary information.
