ASELSAN introduced its new generation drone hunting systems, developed with national resources, for the first time at the SAHA EXPO International Defense, Aviation and Space Industry Fair.

SAHA EXPO International Defense, Aviation and Space Industries Fair, organized by SAHA Istanbul, the largest industrial cluster in Turkey and Europe, under the auspices of the Presidency, supported by 6 ministries and the Presidency of Defense Industries, and with Anadolu Agency as its global communication partner, continues.

According to the statement made by the company, ASELSAN systems developed against the drone threat, which is frequently used in the battlefield against changing military conditions, will add strength to the power of Mehmetçik. ASELSAN solutions developed against the mini and micro drone threat, which is a growing problem in the world, are expected to attract great interest in the international arena.

Among the anti-drone systems introduced by ASELSAN at SAHA EXPO in Istanbul are the "KORKUT 25mm Close Air Defense System", "BUKALEMUN GNSS Deception System", "KANGAL FPV Anti-Drone System" and "SEDA 100-Cuav Acoustic Drone Detection System".

KORKUT 25 was primarily developed against armored land targets. KORKUT 25, which is compatible with integration into tactical vehicles, can be mounted on 4x4, 6x6 and 8x8 wheeled or tracked vehicles and also neutralizes mini and micro unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) threats in rural environments. The system receives information from external sensors with 25-millimeter fragmentation ammunition developed by ASELSAN and provides functional and physical destruction capabilities against UAV threats. With its gyroscope-stabilized structure, remote control feature, high-resolution infrared cameras, laser range finder, automatic target detection and tracking function, and advanced automatic ballistic calculation with high firing accuracy, KORKUT 25 is designed for all combat conditions.

Thanks to its comprehensive surveillance, integration with external sensors and remote control capabilities, KORKUT 25 increases the situational awareness of the shooter and greatly reduces vulnerability attacks caused by UAV threats. KORKUT 25 has the ability to detect mini and micro UAV threats while on the move.

The BUKALEMUN system will also be the eyes and ears of security forces in the tactical field against drone threats. With BUKALEMUN, which has the ability to deceive in GNSS bands, deception can be performed in multi-GNSS bands. With BUKALEMUN, the first known system in this class, deception can be successfully performed from relatively long distances within static and dynamic scenarios.

Developed with ASELSAN’s game-changing technology, KANGAL FPV also ensures the protection of military facilities, bases, government institutions, residences, ceremonial areas and control points against mini UAVs. KANGAL is integrated into the vehicles of security forces and protects the vehicles against possible risks.

Additional abilities were gained

Developed to neutralize mini and micro UAV threats in urban and rural environments, the ?HTAR System is used in the protection of critical facilities and base areas, border security, public safety and protection of crowded organizations. The ?HTAR System, on which various sensors such as electro-optic and radar work are integrated, has been integrated with the SEDA 100-cUAV System, providing additional capability for the detection of mini/micro UAVs.

The SEDA 100-cUAV System detects fixed and rotary wing UAV threats, including FPV drones, at different ranges by listening with microphones. The system can detect UAVs at longer ranges than its counterparts.

ASELSAN General Manager Ahmet Akyol, whose views were included in the statement, stated that they were able to perform static and dynamic deception in all GNSS bands with the ASELSAN BUKALEMUN System, and noted the following:

"By distorting the current position of the target UAV, we can display the desired position and route on the UAV operator's control screen. In the photos we shared, you can see the reaction of a well-known Multi-GNSS receiver, widely used in many air platforms, to deception. Similarly, it is possible to see this effect in well-known commercial mini and micro UAVs and even in every device that is GNSS dependent."
